Filing Bankruptcy from Badger

Complete a credit counseling course within 180 days before you file. Use an approved agency from the list at justice.gov. Online courses are widely available and take about one to two hours. Chapter 7 costs $338. Chapter 13 is $313. Request installments on Official Form 103A, or a fee waiver for Chapter 7 on Form 103B if income qualifies.

You can use the free eSR portal at the court's eSR page to prepare and file online without coming in person. Or file in person at the Fairbanks Divisional Office, which is close to Badger. All filings need original signatures. Faxed or scanned signatures are not accepted on most documents.

You need the old case number. The Anchorage or Fairbanks bankruptcy court clerk can confirm if a file went to NARA and provide the box number.
